When an elderly millionaire is found dead with cocaine in his blood, he leaves $8 million in his will to Rebecca Carlson, who was having an affair with him. District Attorney Robert Garrett decides to prosecute Rebecca because she intentionally had wild sex with the elderly man to arouse him and lead to his untimely death. Criminal defense attorney Frank Dulaney defends Rebecca in court and, in the process, embarks on a dangerous affair with her.
