Ten years after the end of the Vietnam War, four former Marines decide to return to Southeast Asia to investigate reports of American prisoners of war still being held there. Among them are Roger, whose daughter has just married; James, who is unemployed; Mark, who has quit his job at a roadside bar in Arizona; and Richard, who has recently been admitted to a psychiatric hospital. In the jungles of Southeast Asia, they discover American prisoners of war, but also learn of a US government conspiracy to keep this information secret.
