The Eckernförde editorial office came across an audio cassette containing a recording of the last minutes of the late politician Uwe Barschel. The circumstances of his untimely death were never fully clarified – until now. Unfortunately, the editor's daughter, Nina, accidentally takes the cassette with her to Munich, where she plans to visit her paralyzed mother in a sanatorium. When this information reaches the CIA and the BND, both organizations compete to get their hands on the tape. Meanwhile, Erkan and Stefan, two lovable would-be super-controllers from Munich, are assigned as Nina's bodyguards – naturally, they are supposed to screw up their job so that the tape can be recovered. But the two friends prove to be a bit more cunning than the CIA and BND ever expected.
