In 1944 Poland, Jewish shopkeeper Jakob is summoned to the ghetto headquarters after being caught out after curfew. While waiting for the German commandant, Jakob overhears a German radio broadcast about Russian troop movements. Back in the ghetto, the shopkeeper shares his information with a friend, leading to rumors that there is a secret radio in the ghetto.
