During an international crisis, a secretary is found dead in the White House bathroom, and Detective Harlan Regis is assigned to the investigation. Despite resistance from the Secret Service, Regis teams up with Agent Nina Chance. As political tensions escalate, they learn that the crime may be part of an elaborate cover-up. Accused of treason, the two, along with Regis's partner, break into the White House to uncover the true culprit.
