Chris' Soundtrack Corner releases the CD soundtrack to I GABBIANI VOLANO BASSO (Seagulls Fly Low, 1978), an Italian action-drama by Giorgio Cristallini (aka George Warner). Inspired by Vietnam War films like The Deer Hunter and Coming Home, the film tells the story of a war veteran who makes a living as a hitman.

Starring Maurizio Merli, known for his distinctive "tough cop" roles. Alongside him, Nathalie Delon plays a crucial role as the woman who helps him escape.

The film score is by Roberto Pregadio, who collaborated with members of the director's family here. The score combines classic genre elements with melodic and atmospheric passages and also includes previously unreleased tracks that were not used in the film.

This release marks the world's first edition of the soundtrack, offering not only the film music but also alternative and extended versions, including "Titoli – versione disco" with an extended arrangement. The CD includes a 12-page booklet with exclusive liner notes by Gergely Hubai – a highlight for collectors and fans of 70s Italian film music.
