Experienced adventurer and treasure hunter Dirk Pitt, a former Navy SEAL, embarks on a journey into the African desert with his quick-witted buddy Al, in search of a Confederate armored battleship rumored to have disappeared long ago – with the main draw being the treasure supposedly hidden within the lost ship. When the daring duo encounters Dr. Eva Rojas, a beautiful scientist who is simultaneously trying to escape a warlord and prevent the spread of a dangerous plague, their desert expedition becomes more intense.
