Sunny is married to butcher Ernie, but their marriage is on the rocks because they're having an affair. So Sunny hires Lester Atlas as a private investigator to gather evidence for a divorce. One evening, a drunk Ernie and his partner Dave get into an argument at the butcher shop, during which Ernie is pushed into the walk-in cooler and dies there that night. But it wasn't Dave's fault; it was Sunny's premeditated murder. Only Lester has proof, so Sunny kills him too. Now she just needs to kill Dave to get rid of all the witnesses, but he manages to escape from the refrigerator and seeks revenge.
