After Gordon Bombay's comeback in ice hockey is cut short, he is appointed coach of Team USA Hockey for the Junior Goodwill Games. Bombay reunites the Mighty Ducks and introduces some new players, but he gets carried away by his newfound fame and needs to regroup if the Ducks are to defeat tournament favorites Island.
