Professor Malcolm Evans leads his archaeological expedition to the Valley of the Temples in southeastern Sicily. His companion and former student, Liza Harris, is excited about her first excavation. But Liza feels a strange affinity for the valley, and her recurring nightmares seem closely connected to the nearby ruins. She is drawn to the remains of a 16th-century monastery and the gruesome legend of a crucifixion. The villagers rise up to protect the buried secrets of their ancestors, while Liza's obsession with discovering the truth leads her deeper into the forbidden ruins and further away from reason!
