Talented young race car driver Jimmy Bly is gradually losing his grip on the race and slipping further and further down the standings. This is hardly surprising, given the immense pressure exerted on him by his overly ambitious promoter brother, as well as Bly's romance with his arch-rival Sophia's girlfriend. With so much riding on Bly's success, car owner Carl Henry brings in former racing star Joe Tanto to help him. To get Bly back to the top of the standings, Tanto must first deal with the emotional scars left by a tragic racing accident that nearly cost him his life.
