Jack Cole, a former intelligence operative known for his undercover work, now works as a detective for the Los Angeles Police Department. When a series of gruesome murders occurs in the greater Los Angeles area, Cole is assigned to the case along with his abrasive colleague Jim Campbell. Although the two men initially clash, they gradually develop into a well-oiled team as they uncover a conspiracy connected to the murders, involving terrorism and organized crime.
