Plot: A quiet, dreamy village... Barbara Kirchner is engaged to the sawmill owner Franz Leitner. They both want to get married. But a short vacation trip to Munich becomes their fate. Franz, tormented by jealousy, travels to Munich. After he sees Barbara with the young man Conny Fürst, whom Barbara had briefly met at a music festival shortly before, he misunderstands the situation and breaks off the engagement. Barbara is thus forced to live homeless in the big city. Franz finally changes his mind and approaches Barbara...
