After returning from the Vietnam War, veteran Jacob Singer struggles to maintain his sanity. Plagued by hallucinations and flashbacks, Singer quickly collapses as the world and the people around him transform into disturbing images. His girlfriend Jezzie and his ex-wife Sarah try to help, but to no avail. Even Singer's friend, chiropractor Louis, is unable to reach him as he descends into madness.
