Plot: Hofrat Geiger (Rudolf Prack) spends his vacation in the Wachau. He manages to win the heart of the innkeeper's daughter Marianne Mühlbauer. He hasn't seen her for 18 years and it is only when Mrs. Mühlbauer applies for a music scholarship for her illegitimate daughter Mariandl that the Hofrat realizes, while studying the files, that Mariandl should actually be his daughter.
