A crew of Martians hears a radio broadcast of Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds" coming from Earth. Believing the Martian fleet is attacking Earth, they crash-land their ship in a small Central American town. As luck would have it, they land on Halloween and are mistaken for trick-or-treating children. The Martians try to be taken seriously, and a riot ensues.
