Plot: The reckless Tim O'Connor, who was sent to Dublin by his father to buy a new fishing boat, squanders the money and endangers the existence of the whole family. Spurred on by a bewitching woman, he commits a theft and puts himself and his friend Mike, who wants to help him return the jewelry, in a hopeless situation. While Mike goes to the island of Dun to get the key to the locker in which the jewelry was hidden, Tim shoots himself before the police and his father, who wanted to visit him, arrive. His father swears revenge. He thinks the innocent Mike is the murderer of his son. But it gets even worse: In the meantime, Mike and Eileen, Tim's sister, have fallen in love. Will their love be able to overcome the terrible suspicion?
