Justice, a hairdresser, is still grieving over the murder of her boyfriend and writes poetry to cope with the pain of her loss. Since she can't drive to Oakland for a conference with her broken-down car, Justice takes her friend Iesha and her boyfriend, postal worker Chicago, with her. Chicago's colleague Lucky is also there, with whom Justice develops a close relationship after some initial difficulties. But is she ready to open her heart again?
