Author Joel Garcia breaks his neck while hiking and ends up in a rehabilitation center along with Raymond, an over-the-top womanizer, and Bloss, a racist biker. Significant tensions arise as each character tries to cope with their new disability and the problems that come with it, especially Joel, whose lover Anna is having just as hard a time as he is.
