Mayor Kamberger (Klaus Löwitsch) isn't exactly known as a great diplomat in his small Bavarian community. He enforces his will and his interests regardless of the consequences, and it's the less financially well-off citizens who suffer most under his domineering Kamberger. However, when a new chaplain (Reiner Schöne) is transferred to the town one day, Kamberger has to face headwinds for the first time. The church minister is almost as stubborn as the mayor and gives him a good run for his money...
